Key Concepts Covered

Factor Pairs

Two numbers that multiply together to give a product. Example: Factor pairs of 12 are (1,12), (2,6), and (3,4).

Prime Numbers

Numbers with exactly two factors: 1 and itself. Examples: 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13. Remember: 1 is NOT prime!

Composite Numbers

Numbers with more than two factors. Example: 12 has six factors (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12), so it's composite.

Multiples

The result of multiplying a number by any whole number. Multiples of 5: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25...
